TD Banknorth Supports Homeless Prevention Program
MetroWest Outreach Connection’s Homeless Prevention Program has received a $5,000 donation from the TD Banknorth Charitable Foundation.
The TD Banknorth Charitable Foundation focuses on giving that has the greatest potential to produce real, measurable results in the community. MetroWest Outreach Connection raises funds to assist families and individuals in imminent danger of eviction or those who are homeless and seek permanent housing. These families must be able to sustain their rent payments after the financial intervention. Since the program’s inception in August 2004, 133 households that include 306 individuals have been assisted. Nearly all of them reside in MetroWest with the majority living in Framingham.
Foundations, like the TD Banknorth Charitable Foundation, are the principal source of funds for the Homeless Prevention Program. MetroWest Outreach Connection has received over $100,000 in grant awards during the past fourteen months. They have also raised more than $25,000 from their first two Walks to Prevent Homelessness and many donations.
The Homeless Prevention can only succeed because of generous donations such as the one they have received from TD Banknorth Charitable Foundation. These grant awards are an investment in our community and region.
